If I Only HadTime . . .

I have been pretty excited about daylight savings change this time, I know crazy right?
I made a deal with myself about 5 weeks ago that once time changes and we gain this extra hour I am going to keep getting up at what would have been 5 am (so that is now 4 am) I let myself have a little sleep in so set my alarm for 4.30, I have managed to get so much extra done yesterday and this morning in that little bit of extra time!
The whole reason I want to do this is to get my workout done and dusted before the day officially starts, what I have realized is that if I don't get it done first thing, its just not going to happen and if I want the results I need to put in the hard work! Of course this wont work for everyone but hopefully a little inspiration.
If we make a huge amount of changes all at once we have such high risk of not being able to keep up with them all and end up either back at square one or worse, trust me I know, I have done this a million times and over again.

Over the last 5 weeks I have been making small changes to my daily & weekly routines to start creating the life I want to live not the one that time dictates to me, for those who know me personally know that I am so easily distracted and get caught up in the new shinny things so quickly. Which is why this year I have so many small goals that all lead up to one big goal, one of the first small goals is to gain back time and use it more wisely, hence getting up so damn early in the morning! The bonus to that is I am a morning person, LOVE being up early to hear the first birds chirping, so it does make it a tad easier. I always remember, whenever I stayed at my grandparents house when I was little, my Grandad/Poppy would always be up really early. If I was awake early, which was almost always, I would lay in bed and listen .... If I could hear the birds chirping then I knew he would be up and then so would I. I love the silence and the calm of the early morning, seeing the sun slowly rise into the day.
I haven't quite gotten to doing my workouts before school drop off yet, but that is the goal in the next week or 2 is to be doing/done my workout before 7am so that after school drop off I can come back straight to my desk and give all you amazing ladies 110% of my time and focus - Focus is my word of the year after all!
