So I don't know if this post/blog is going to make you love or loath me, but If I expect my clients to be open and honest with me, I am going to be open and honest with all of you.
It has taken me a long time to get the courage to post this because I didn't want anyone to think less of me or to lose any potential clients plus 1000's more reasons that popped into my head.
As I mentioned in my blog last week, I have never been extremely overweight. However, I have struggled for a long time with food. Now that I am a qualified Personal Trainer and almost qualified Nutrition Coach, I know exactly what I NEED to do to get the results I want, and because I have studied these things I also know the reasons WHY I am not getting these results.
This is part of the motivation behind today's blog, I want all of you awesome ladies to see that I'm not here to shove information into your ears and expect you to start eating salads for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I'm not here to become some fitness supermodel or Instagram famous (even though it would be nice 🤣🤣) I am here to help you, to guide you on your journey to living a healthy lifestyle and even lend a virtual shoulder to lean on through the tough times.
You probably hear a lot . . .You want to lose weight? Well, just eat healthy, exercise and the weight will disappear! Simple! Easy! . . . . Yeah Right!
Food, like many other things can be an addiction. Changing how your brain is wired isn't as simple as some people make out. You really need to be ready, willing and able to make changes, they don't need to be big changes, just something as simple as tracking your water intake and aiming for 2ltrs a day is a great place to start.

Now let's get to the main point of this blog . . .
I read a post on Facebook last year from Kellie Sanders which really got me thinking....
Would I hire myself as a trainer/coach?
I thought about it for a little and sad to say my answer was no. No I wouldn't hire myself. This made me really angry, but it was such a great eye opener . . .
Here is what Kellie said ...
Ask yourself this question “Would I hire myself to help me achieve my health and fitness goals?”
YES OR NO?
What must I change within me?
Who must I become?
If you want your clients to make fast decisions, you first must make fast decisions.
If you want your clients to invest in you, you first have to invest in yourself.
If you want your clients to show up and do the work, you first have to show up and do the work.
Be the trainer you wish to hire.
Be that which you wish to experience.
I went down the list in my head and answered each question, my answer to the first question really hit home and made me feel disappointed in myself.
Second question... First thing I need to change right now is to practise what I preach, right now I'm not following my own advice of healthy eating and exercise. I also need to have more confidence in myself, I know I can do this, I have the knowledge to help people reach their goals but why do I doubt myself so much?
Who must I become? Someone I would want to hire that's for sure!
I decided over the Christmas break I would take a couple steps back, get myself organised and jump into 2019 to become the best trainer and coach I can be and would want to hire myself.
So hopefully this hasn't made you all unfollow or unfriend me, hopefully you will all stay for the journey. We are all on our own sperate journey's but it is always more fun when you have company along the way, if it is the whole journey or only part the way, to follow along in silence or be the one bouncing along with bright flashing colors, I want to be there by your side!
Let me know in the comments if you are the person you want to be, or if there are things you are working on this year.
